nershi's new friend

my sweet pooch has found a new friend in our backyard.... when i first noticed a very distracted nershi, i would've bet my life he'd found a snake... as i got closer, i saw that little bitty head (still thinking it was a snake)...

...then i saw the BIG shell! :) and of course it got a little cuter when i discovered that nershi was IN the fence and the turtle was OUT of the fence... nershi wasn't sure how to fix that...

the turtle didn't seem to mind nershi (he wasn't cooped up in his shell or anything)...however, he didn't like it when i took his picture or picked him up...

...and if you're wondering, i'm LOVING my DAY OFF!! woo hoo for independence day! i'm sad that lee has to work, but he'll be home for dinner...

in the mean time, i'm making my list for costco tomorrow, cleaning, washing the sheets, dusting, dishes, etc... and what's nershi doing? sleeping on the air conditioning vent... spoiled?
