as i crawled in bed last night around 10 (an hour and a half earlier than i did the night before), i just knew i'd have to wake up at 4:30... six and a half hours, right? ...at least that's how long she's been sleeping every night for the past week...
WRONG! i woke up at 6:30 to her awake in her pack-n-play... not crying, but on the fussy side.
wow. 8.5 hours!!
...this girl is amazing.
and i know this next thing may sound silly... but if you're the mommy of a preemie, you may have noticed this at some point...
tonight, as i was rocking eden my arm fell asleep.
yes. my arm fell asleep.
do you know what that means?
she's HEAVY enough to make my arm fall asleep...
...and my heart melt! :) she is growing soooo fast. i know babies grow fast, but there's just something about a preemie... makin' up for lost time.
i know, i know... it may not sound like much for "my arm to go numb"--but if you've ever held a 3lb 12oz baby, you know it feels like you're holding a toy doll... but just the fact that she's big enough to numb my arm, i thought that was pretty cool :)
happy mother's day to all the mommies and everyone who's like a mommy... we have baby dedication in the morning--i'll be sure to share pictures with you all :) i'm very excited!
ah, and lastly...i want to thank you for your patience and apologize for all the "blog renovations" these last few days... i can't seem to find a background that i liked... so, i'm going with the simpler route... aaaand i put a little more effort into the picture heading :) ...i'll leave it alone now, i promise.
