another weekend come & gone

i can hardly believe another weekend has come... and gone.

lee and i had a "local" date night friday-- we went to a family restaurant for some good southern cookin' then went to rent a movie... enjoyed a quiet night at home... nice for a change! :)

after an unusually un-busy saturday (a bit of a needed break!), i came home and was badly bitten by the cleaning bug!

i'm embarrased to say that i rearranged the furniture (i know i know... i'm NOT supposed to be doing that or anything close to it) but... i took my time (a LOT of it)... and really it was more "scooting" the furniture...

i know i say this every time, but i think we'll leave it like this for a while...lee and i both agree this is our FAVORITE way of arranging... and after 2 years of trying, i'd say its about time! :)

and... i've accomplished everything i wanted to accomplish! the glider is part of the room (you can sit in it and see the tv!) lol... and it feels cozy... and its more open... there's a nice walkway between the front door & the kitchen--while the living room is still open!... more floor space for a new rugrat joining us in april... and a nice empty spot for the CHRISTMAS TREE!! (to be replaced later by a swing or something baby-related, i'm sure)

why i cleaned the house, i'm not really sure--granny pat gave me the services of a really great local cleaning lady--since baseboards & windows really aren't my thing... but who knows, i may end up having the carpet cleaned instead...

today i headed to church and enjoyed it as usual! then went with dad to raleigh for a little birthday shopping! :-D

he got me a video camera! i'm really excited about learning to use it before the baby comes... fortunately, its a canon & i'm already pretty familiar w/ the functions, etc... but the buttons are in a totally different spot...

its a canon fs20 and i LOVE the fact that i can take pictures & record! :) i'm tinkering with the settings to make them easy to upload, but still good quality...

came home for a needed nap... then headed off to a membership class at church...

...and here we are at sunday night... getting ready for a GREAT week!
