he took me to california pizza kitchen & cinnabon for dessert! yum! and then we walked to pottery barn baby to look at a chair... then of course, barnes & noble... if lee was a mosquito, barnes & noble would be that purple light that just sucks him riiiiight in! :)
and the best part? they realized as our order was coming out, that mine was incorrect (just a different pizza... not the one i ordered)... so they GAVE us the wrong one to take home... and of course, we had leftovers, too... so it looks like we're about to open our very own CPK... haha... maybe not!
creepy crud update:
i'm hoping to stick with my new "routine" tonite... well, its a routine until i get better... what a restful 10 hours that was last night... wow... what a valuable lesson i've learned here recently... a lesson about not taking your health for granted...
as of today, i have a "normal cold"... and THAT has never felt so good! i'll just continue to get good "restful" rest... and get rid of this last bit of congestion (head and chest) and i'll be back to my old self again!
...and just for the record, several people have made comments about how "i should get used to the lack of sleep thing before the baby gets here"... well, honestly, i feel like those people have missed the whole point...
waking up every 30 minutes having to re-medicate, blow your nose, use the bathroom, or fancy yourself for a 20-30 minute coughing spree... ahem... or a combination of all of the above is NOT a rewarding experience... and in my mind, somehow... waking up for a crying baby would be way more rewarding and gratifying in at least some way... and in NO way comparable to waking up because you're so SICK... i just don't understand why these two would be compared...
maybe i'm missing something... or i'm in for a big surprise... time will tell...
i'd wake up with that baby for years if it meant i'd never have to have this crud again...
