i also had been wanting to go to whole foods and cruise around there to see what they had and get some soups that they make that i could freeze... or just get some ideas of something different to eat/fix... found a few soups i wanted to try... some yummy hummus and i got some SUSHI!! yes, crab-avocado-cucumber rolls... and oh. my. goodnes... it was FANTASTIC... i dove in as soon as i got home from my "outing" and wanted to lick the tray... but i didn't... instead, i just wished i had bought more... but nevertheless, its too far to go back... :(
so, i left whole foods and made a bee-line to honeybaked ham... arrived at 5:05... and what time do they close on saturday? 5:00... and the "lovely" employee was standing out in the parking lot staring at me as she sucked on her cigarette... ugh... i was pure DROOLING on the way over there... i guess i just never realized how often i eat sandwiches (and sandwich meat)... and ham in particular (its a BLD meat, ya know... breakfast, lunch, and dinner) ...and, i'll be honest--i'm getting prettttttty tired of chicken... and i'm not much of a beef eater... sigh.
i will try another day for the honeybaked ham... a plain baked ham will not do. i must have honeybaked brand.
tomorrow i will venture out to the grocery store... i've not been in quite sometime (thanks, lee for not hounding me--you knew i didn't feel like going and would go the first chance i got)... tonite? i must make my list! :) i'm feeling re-inspired to cook again... (or just tired of eating out... or BOTH!)
i hope this feeling is here to stay... at least for a little while! today, i have felt 99% normal!

the deli meat is because of listeria/listerosis which, if you come in contact with it (it is usually found on deli meats) it can make you sick, but can be fatal to a baby in utero. and you can eat deli meat, it just has to be cooked in the microwave until steaming, and you have to eat it while it's hot. But that doesn't really sound appealing on a sandwhich, now does it? :)
your crab roll thing sounds nasty. but hey, whatever floats your boat. we miss you guys!
thanks for the info dr. phil
