our big boy!

so when i came home from work monday, i noticed nershi had gotten sick (barf) in his crate... and the poor thing had to lay in it (well, next to it) for who knows how long... I. FELT. TERRIBLE. i wanted to cry just thinking about him not only getting sick, but not having an "escape" from it...and i started wondering since he'd done so well on our short trips out (just a few hours or less), how he would do while we're gone all day...

well, today was his first day out of the crate all day... from 9-5:30 and he didn't have a single accident! GOOD BOY!! in fact, when i barged in the door to greet my little man, not only was he not waiting for me to get home... he was ASLEEP! haha

so, lee and i went to petco, petsmart, AND target to find the perfect bed for him to lay on when we're not at home...ahem... let me rephrase that... i went to petsmart while lee went to best buy... then we BOTH went to target...and since i didn't see anything i liked there, i went to petco while he was STILL in target :)

i just thought it'd be nice to have a spot he could lay on when he's tired of the ol' hardwood floor... and i was willing to go to all three places and evaluate ALL of my options! :)

well, we ended up with this one... please notice the bone on the pillow (kinda like a piece of chocolate at a hotel... i know what you're thinking... SPOILED!)

and in the nicest way possible, he told me that he LOVED it, but he didn't like where i put it... so he dragged it in to the living room (that he WON'T have access to when we're gone and he's actually USING this new bed he got...)

i thought it was sweet... he put it between the chair that i normally sit in and the sofa that lee normally sits on... what can i say? he loves us both! :)

psh... and what's a trip to petsmart AND petco WITHOUT a NEW TOY?!

they had "giggle balls" (i think i could've come up with a better name)... the above picture is of nershi in his usual "safe spot" under our coffee table...we don't bother him when he's under there... nershi went NUTS when he got it! unfortunately, i didn't capture the immediate reaction, but i got some cute footage of the pooch...

...and he's already discovered there's another "treat" in the bag... but he doesn't get that until friday morning :) (lee's off tomorrow...so he won't be in the kitchen all day...)
