a near-disaster...

so tonite, lee's parents came over for dinner--and they'd already arrived when i got off of work... and we normally get pizza, but i decided to make pizza here... i was plannin' on it anyway--and the more the merrier!

i was so excited to use the rest of my veggies and make a "supreme pizza" that would just blow pizza hut outta the water...

since i was doubling the number of mouths i was feeding, i decided to make lee his own pizza (since i was already prepared for either making our pizza without most of the stuff on half of it...or having him pick everything he didn't want off of it)

the problem? i only have one large bar pan (the pampered chef stoneware cookie sheet thing)... i really didn't think it was a big deal... other than the temperature difference that was recommended on the pizza crust (25 degrees difference)

...so i opted for the lower temperature, and whichever one was done first, i'd pull it out and let the other one finish...

as the oven timer went off (when i was expecting the first one to be done) i noticed that the oven was smoking... i'm thinkin' "ohhh $h!t... call the chinese restaurant!"

but lee's pizza was WAYYYYY past done on the bottom... (on the metal sheet)... but the one on the stoneware was great...

FORTUNATELY, i put sooooo much stuff on the "supreme pizza" that it was enough to fill everyone up... and they scraped the top off of the "bad one" (but hey, that's the best part anyway right?!)

...why can't i have a disaster when its just lee and me??!! oh well! we had so much fun with them looking at old pictures of "beardless lee" and pictures of his mom when she was a little girl! cute! and of course, jenny and i were talking about our upcoming trip to VEGAS while lee and his dad were planning their next camping trip! :)

I know what you mean, stuff like that happens only when "others" are here to see it.
