last week was SOOOOO long... and virtually none of it was "routine" ...just another reminder of what a creature of habit i've become
monday was stressful to cram in as much work as i could because i was leaving at 4am to go to salt lake city... that trip was supposed to end thursday--but included an extra day due to terrible weather in dallas.
so i missed an extra day of work due to the delays, but they had the work piled high for me when i got back... so that took most of the day friday, then saturday i worked normal hours then was off to my cousin, emily's high school graduation. (it will have its very own picture post later--we got some good ones!)
she was the valedictorian of her class!! we are so proud of her and her hard work! she's off to NC State next year... YAY!!
we had dinner at a nice italian restaurant, then off to the ceremony at 8pm then krispy kreme after that... home around 11...
then my usually relaxing sunday was full of activity! fun activities... but none-the-less, activities that are normally not part of my routine!
today was my first pampered chef show (a bridal shower!) and my director is sick, so it was me... all alone!! i think everyone had a great time, got stuff for themselves and the bride... i wasn't as nervous as i thought i would be because i hardly knew anyone at the shower! i was able to make shellie (the bride) my assistant and that made it a little easier, too!
...but that's not all, today! after that, we went to my neighbor's baby shower... she's also a bridesmaid in shellie's wedding and is expecting a little boy a few weeks after the wedding!
then i came home, unpacked the kitchen stuff i'd used at shellie's shower, let nershi out, jumped in my pj's in record time... and just chilled on the deck for a minute or two... and lee came home a few minutes later...
he had a busy day, too!! today was the first run of the running club he's started at omega.
he was up with the chickens this morning... then worked all day... no wonder he was SOOO hungry when he got home--he was too busy to eat ANYTHING today!
so we are enjoying some serious downtime!! its funny what going away does to your appreciation for being at HOME! i've had the best nights sleep in the past 2 nights that i've been home...
but we're looking forward to a NORMAL week! our neices are in rocky mount for VBS--so we'll head up there at least one night this week, and then i'm off saturday for shellie's bridesmaids luncheon... then lee, me, and jennifer are headed to a concert!
ok... i'm rambling now and i'm going to go enjoy my backyard for a bit until the mosquitos find me :)
