so i began un-decorating last night while lee worked late...but before i found a place for all our new decorations (remember, my birthday shopping spree?) i wanted to organize the attic with labels (not the ones still on the boxes for the movers that said "attic" but something more specific like "christmas decorations")....so i pulled everything out and sorted it in matching, interlocking containers with labels...ahh...feels so nice to be organized!
i couldn't believe it, but in the process of grouping together holiday decor, i found christmas decorations we didn't even use this year...bummer...but they're with all the other decorations now, ready for next christmas!
then lee got to put up the tree...literally...he walked up the stairs with the tree and set it in the attic
and perhaps the cherry on top of my oh-so-productive day...after we put all the christmas decorations up, and i dusted, vacuumed, etc...we got to do a little rearranging (my favorite!)
what's on the agenda for tonite? some curtains for our bathroom! yes, that means i get to use my drill...whoo hoo!
its nice to come home and not be so out of it that i don't feel like doing ANYTHING! there's no telling all the little projects that i'll get to do in 2009! i'm feeling a color change in the hall bathroom...i drove by sherwin williams today and thought about dropping in...i might wait until lee's out of town sometime :) (i don't think he'd be too fond of the "temporary mess" but i want to use a little sweat equity...ha!)
the cleaning thing is contagious...house, car, desk, store....where does it end? i'm MOTIVATED!
