wall talk...

wow! lee and i have been busier than i could've even imagined! we both are very busy at work and lee's grandmother has been in the hospital...and on the way home from the hospital tonite, i realized i forgot to pay bills (eek!) and i've forgotten about my own birthday monday...(ok, a few times... :) not a lot)

grandma, we're praying for you and we love you!

mom came over tuesday to help me put up my "wall talk" and to sorta-celebrate the b-day comin' up--even though she got me our bistro set on the deck, she got me a ridiculously cute return address stamp (with our new address) :)

...but before i share pictures, i must share the story--

i fell in love with these things some time back, but couldn't decide on one to be permanently displayed on our walls... lots of good bible verses, but none that i could decide on...lots of cute quotes...but i didn't want to get tired of it--but recently some friends of ours (dustin and jennie) bought a house that already had one the previous owners had put up...and it just so happened to be my most favorite quote thus far...i kept it in the back of my mind, but never found anything i liked better...

so mom helped me find a website that would do a custom quote so i could make it big enough to fit in the spot i wanted to put it...then i had to figure out where to put it...i'd picked a few places, but wanted to be sure...

ok...long story short, my quote came in and mom came over the next day to help me hang it--and i couldn't be happier with it!...so thanks mom for helping me put it up...and thanks d&j for the quote...(since i don't know who actually said it)

so here's a few pictures from the wall talk event...here's the before shot a few days earlier while mom and i were chatting via email to pick the best spot...excuse nershi's red-eye...he looks crazy!so here's me (and my best side...yeh rite) during the process...and just excuse the look of sheer terror on my face and don't let the ladder fool you...it had seen better days... but we leveled it and centered it (which was harder than you would think) cut it in pieces to make it easier to lay down

this is right after we'd finished...and of course, i insisted on "one of those" shots...

and here's the "finished product" taken from 1/2 way up the stairs...it says "Blessed is the home where each puts the other's happiness first"
