so thankful

we're in the midst of one of my favorite types of weather... 2nd only to snow.

a good ole summer thunderstorm.

i love 'em!! the kind where the thunder rattles the pictures on the walls... with ginormous rain drops... and the lightening shatters the sky... ahhhhh, yes.

and Lord knows, we've needed the rain... even my "drought tolerant" plants that seem to survive with the little care that i give them are dry... very dry.

what else am i thankful for? my daughter slept from 11pm to 9am last night... yes, TEN HOURS. i do realize that this may have been a fluke, but i will savor this moment while it lasts... the entire family... well rested... enjoying breakfast together (even nershi got a little hash brown from mcdonalds)... watching the rain outside.

bliss.

we have so much to be thankful for... and i don't think that we thank Him enough. well, not that we could ever thank Him enough... but we should thank Him more.... i'm going to try to do that more often.
