eden's progress

we had yet another great visit today with eden... she continues to do swimmingly and makes nothing but forward progress...

today when lee and i arrived, she was awake and very alert! several of the nurses have commented that she "seems to have 2 speeds--very alert or asleep!" (heh...maybe she diiiiid get something from ME!)

the nurse gave us a tad more information today about when she may be coming home... certainly within the next two weeks (which we already knew that part), but she winked and said "you might want to finish tying up loose ends or anything you need to do before her homecoming"....ahhh yes! :-D her "checklist" is getting smaller everyday. and within the next few days, she'll be moved to an "open crib"--not in the isolette anymore! woo hoo! her weight has stabilized (after she dropped an ounce or two), which mean the only thing left for her to do is GAIN! and even since our visit last night, she's already eating more volume at each feeding...

i just love walking in to see those pretty eyes open and ready to see her mama and daddy!! she was ready to EAT! ...and that she did!
she just loves to look around and move her hands around...

(i think she's telling me to stop taking her picture in this next one... she'll have to get over that!)
wiggling her fingers, reachin' around, and looking at everything!
she gets to keep clothes on all the time now!
and i'm oh-so-glad she can stretch her legs out now... you know, the way she wanted to when she was still in the womb... she seems much happier... and so are my ribs :)

...gah! and how cute are those wrinkly little legs?!? LOVE IT!
"hey mama"
i love those eyes...
and this is what she does when you wake her up and try to get all those silly monitors situated...
we are so in love with this girl and can't wait to bring. her. home!!

I have been reading for a few days and just had to say that your photos are wonderful! I can't get over how alert she is. It's so good to know that Eden is progressing nicely. I look forward to hearing stories from home, soon!
