...well, its a good idea to do this more than once a year... but anyway...
i'm not even sure i could even begin to write...er...blog! about all the things i'm thankful for... family, freinds, our marriage, our jobs, our salvation, our church, our home, the dog...
but perhaps, this thanksgiving... my biggest answered prayer (well, upon seeing that little plus sign) is the fact that so far, we have a very HEALTHY growing little girl.
healthy. thank you, Jesus.
i'm enjoying today for what it is... and being thankful for everything in my life. somewhere on the road today during our travels, its hit me that in less than a month is christmas... then new years... then its 2010... and i have a feeling that's going to be an amazing year.
but until then, a quick re-cap on our thanksgiving holiday:
this past tuesday, lee and i had dinner with my mom's side of the family... at the k&w! always good... no one has to cook... and no one has to clean! buffet? yes, everyone gets what they want to eat! lee and i both enjoyed our own helpings of baked spaghetti! :) ...lee enjoyed his with some corn (i think he got that idea from my mom! hahahaha!) and salad... and mine was enjoyed with a salad and a less-than-traditional fare of a frosted blueberry muffin. it was great! :)
this morning, lee went to get us breakfast from mcdonalds... at around 9:30 (lee ate the "big breakfast" w/ pancakes, eggs, sausage, biscuit and hashbrown... i ONLY had 2 biscuits) lol... only to eat the following 2 1/2 hours later... followed by the early dinner listed below...
today for lunch, we ate at my dad's side of the family... for our extremely traditional turkey dinner... turkey, dressing, creamed potatoes, deviled eggs, broccoli casserole, apple salad, sweet potato casserole, spinach salad, and my FAVORITE...PRETZEL SALAD!! ...and i'm sure there was some more stuff in the line that i didn't have room on my plate for...
for dinner we ate with lee's family... minus steph, kevin, & the girls... it was a little too close to baby time for them... but we celebrated the day with them the last time they were visiting... today, we enjoyed a honeybaked ham, rolls, slaw, potato salad, deviled eggs, sweet potato casserole... topped off with a swiss chocolate cake, carrot cake, and pecan pie...
...wow... did i really eat all that today? thanks, eden! you're already just like your daddy--hungry all the time! :)
