yesterday i worked from 9-3:30, then left straight after work for a shopping trip to the outlets to get my dear husband some BRITCHES... he needed 'em... BAD!
so, i was gone from 9 until 7 or so... when i walked in the door, not only had i forgotten to lock the back door (the one that goes out onto the deck/backyard), i'd left it WIDE OPEN!
nershi had free reign of going in and out as he pleased all day...
...and yes, the house was a little chilly, too!
so i asked my neighbor if he'd barked all day... and FORTUNATELY, they said they didn't even hear him or know he was outside... so that's good! :) ...i've really worked with nershi on barking while he's outside... the moment he barks, we come in... so naturally, my genius dog has learned that you have a lot more fun outside when you DON'T bark... good boy!
well, a few minutes later, lee got home we got nershi inside who was hungry for dinner a little early (understandably, since playing outside all day is hard work!)... and nershi had this smile on his face all night like he'd had the BEST time!! and you betcha, he slept like a rock last night!
luckily, i didn't feel but so bad about it--it wasn't like he was locked out side all day-- i mean, the pooch got to do whatever he wanted to... ALL DAY! :-D
