sick.

what i thought was a little cold monday afternoon has now become a double ear infection & a sinus infection... yes, basically a whole head infection...

so i decided to take my OB's offer to "please call them when i'm sick instead of going to the doctor/urgent care" ...they'd rather know what i'm taking and me NOT sit in a sick waiting room full of germs to get more sick... so, after answering a few questions & telling her that i already had a terrible sinus infection and a right ear infection, i let her know that by tomorrow i would have a left ear infection...

her response? "well, have you ever had an ear infection before? are you prone to these?"

i giggled inside my muffled head and replied "ma'am, i've had HUNDREDS of ear infections... and that is NOT an exaggeration"

"ah..." she says, "well, let me let the doctor know & she will call in a prescription for an antibiotic for you"

...so, a few minutes later, i'm on horse-sized doses of antibiotics... no, i'm not better YET... but i did get the "ok" to keep taking sudafed, tylenol (if i get a low-grade fever), AND my antibiotics...

i'm still just mad at myself for even getting sick (like i had a whole lot to do about it that i wasn't already doing?!)... and i'm frustrated with not being able to BREATHE... ya know, its amazing what we take for granted... i can't even swallow without creating a suction effect... i know, gross.. but after all, this IS my blog! :)

i went into work SUPER late... but before i left, i plopped a whole chicken in the crock-pot for a nice easy meal when i got home... yeah, comfort food! :) ...too bad i can't taste a thing--which is a real shame--i think this was gonna turn out de-lish... coated the ("extra meaty roaster") chicken with bbq rub & uncle yammy's sauce & it's been slow cookin' since 11am... bummer.

so, i let nershi tell me if it was ok or not... he seemed to like it :) and i'm sure lee will have some sort of opinion when he gets home... let's just hope i'm awake to hear it.
