april fools...

well, for those of you that know me well, you know that i LOVE a good prank!

all last week i kept thinking of good april fools jokes... for family... co-workers... neighbors... WHOEVER! (we've done the baby one before...but you can't really duplicate that one)

i came up with nothing...probably one of the most disappointing feelings... me not coming up with a prank? i'm losing my gift! haha...

so i decided i was going to be on my toes today and see what everyone else came up with!

well, i took a gun to the gunsmith today and we were chatting about what needed to be done for the customer...blah blah...and the gunsmith says "i just thought you'd like to know that ATF just left here...they're getting lunch then headed to your place for an audit"

HOLD ON...THIS IS SERIOUS! dad's in utah...and i'm the one in charge of the books now...my heart sinks...my stomach churns...i swallow the pill and say "well, bring it on...if its time then lets' do it!"

...for those of you who don't know, my dad owns the gun store that i work full time at...and the bureau of alcohol, tobacco, & firearms (ATF) is our "governing agency" if you will...they come in periodically...say, every couple of years...and audit our books...going through paperwork with a fine tooth comb...critiquing every checked box...spelling error...EVERYTHING!...ok...back to the story

i've swallowed the pill...my time has come to experience my first audit...i'm walking out the door going back to the store to tell granny and as soon as i push on his door...its hits me....APRIL FOOLS!!

...he got me gooooood! and i made the (probably bad) decision to pass the "joke" along to dad...but he was in an important meeting and was pretty upset...but you know what that means? i got HIM, TOO!! :) love you, dad!

so they day progressed...and i learned that one of the other guys at work (we basically pass pranks back and forth regularly)...mike...actually put granny up to it this morning...i was running a little more late than usual...and they wanted to call me and tell me ATF was there when i was still at HOME!! how cruel!

and on a lighter note...lee told me that umphrey's mcgee (lee's favorite band...rock/jam-ish stuff) sent out an email that they'd be touring with hannah montana...haha
