now THIS is my kind of surprise!

after all the rain we got over the past 2 days, they were calling for it to get MUCH colder last night with a front coming through and the possibility of snow...yeah right!! i wasn't convinced...after all, it's MARCH! so, those weather folks were saying it would start last night...well, at 11:30 (maybe later) i was headed to bed and it was barrrrely snowing...tiny little flakes and they were few and far between...i felt confident that the weather folks had missed again!!

so when i woke up this morning, this is our back deck...

again, i didn't get the measuring stick...but it appeared to be 2 good inches...maybe a hair more...yippee!!

i was so jealous of lee...he had the whole day off of work (scheduled...not because of the weather)

so lee decided to let nershi do his morning business...nershi had somewhat of a look of shock on his face and looked back at lee and i as if he were saying, "i remember this stuff...but what's it doing back here?"...we weren't dressed to go out and play...so he walked to the steps of the deck and came back... then he decided to do his business on the deck! see the picture of yellow snow in the making below :)
he did go in the grass to tend to some "other business" a minute later...but lee and i had a good laugh over him peeing on the deck...

so i was off to work a little late...but none the less...it SNOWED....in MARCH...in RALEIGH!! haha...we usually don't have such a combination!
