totally last minute plans...jenn called earlier in the week and wanted to get together this weekend...so, tonite i met up with shellie and jennifer for dinner and a walk around the mall (we all had a few things on our to-do lists)...
after finding the CUTEST flower girl/jr. bridesmaids dresses (on clearance, i might add) at macy's for shell's wedding coming up in july (yay!)...we stopped in a few other stores and had a yummy dinner at kanki!
i think i can speak for the other girls, too when i say we had SUCH a great time! its so much fun to get together with girls you've grown up with and talk about "grown-up" things--like husbands...and weddings...leases/renting/owning/remodeling houses...and jobs...and who we've seen recently....and cooking...
it just feels so nice to be worry-free for the night and escape busy life for just an hour or two and catch up!
different friends come and go, but i've got a small group of girls who are always there! and they know who they are! and it never fails...when we get together...we have FUN! whether we're sitting around in our pj's or its a night on the town....its just plain ole' fun! :)
oddly enough, we all agreed tonite that its good for our relationships (with the men in our lives) to get out and have some "girl time"...i really believe its vital to have that relationship with girls to switch gears for a little while...
and by the way, i'd like to add a note about how PACKED the mall was--one of the reasons i have quit watching the news all together...local and national...i do realize there are parts of our economy that are suffering, but i've never seen so many people at the mall...honestly--Christmas or any other time...but i do feel that some of our "economic difficulty" has something to with the negativity that people keep hearing on the news....somewhat of a scare tactic.
don't get me wrong--i know people are losing their jobs and some companies are going bankrupt--but i can name a hundred things that haven't shown signs of economic recession...but i will not bore you any longer with my soap box discussion :)
back on subject--i had such a great time with some of my favorite girls tonite...a break from the ordinary! :) and i was so proud of myself--i only spent money on dinner...i was looking for some spring tops/dresses/whatever...but have decided to wait and see how the yard turns out...go me!

QUITE impressed by the grandma...a grandma who no only can use a computer, but the internet too AND can post comments about a blog! AMAZING! Must be a very sharp and cool lady :)
YES, my Mom (GrannyT) is the awesome-est. My hero & largely responsible for how I turned out! Tireless, strong-willed, thoughtful, generous & just like the EverReady Bunny...she keeps going & going & going!
