today was a VERY busy day!! i went back to work, and boy they had it piled up for me! but its great...because i MUST be busy every second...i look at my day off as giving the guys a head start ;)
then i came home for my hot date....NERSHI!! he and i had some quality time then he laid in the kitchen and helped me make a BIIIIG batch of spaghetti sauce (to freeze, of course...nershi and i don't eat as much as lee and heck, he's not even home tonite!)
he was on standby for anything that may fall off the counter...and he did a marvelous job, i might add :)
the sauce is on the stove simmering for a while, so i'm not exactly sure how many lasagnas it will make...any guesses?? 8 lbs. of beef, 2 bottles of ketchup, and all the other ingredients...i'm probably going to do 2 or 3 (maybe 4) square sized casseroles and leave the rest as sauce...
now that i've finally tweeked my sauce recipe to where lee and i like it, i was ready to make a big batch...up until now, i'd try something different and just make it with 1 lb. of beef...
i also got an idea today to make pimento cheese...i'm not crazy about those sandwiches...but i love 'em grilled (like a grilled cheese)...so i've googled a few recipes i'd like to try...i'll keep ya posted!
well, time to go stir the pot and clean the kitchen! and i think i see a nice long bath in my future!...and some laundry of course...ya know, that's one thing you can never get ahead on...but, i digress...
